Today we found out if we must talked the Talk or walked the walk. It was disclosure day! If you remember the cool red pills that we got as a kid from the public health department that showed the plaque on our teeth, its the same thing. With a clinic full of female students and one male, you can only imagine the insecurities floating around... I sure had a good laugh. The blue mouths were pretty funny to see as well... I may need to sneek a bunch for Halloween. I wonder if that has the same blue die that makes you pee blue?
This was part of the dental screening that is protocol for our patients to see where they can improve their in-home care. This part, in the end, is the most important part of the care, because it won't matter what we do, if they don't change their habits. So, hopefully I can use my knowledge of setting goals and help people to keep commitments. My work won't mean anything, if bad habits don't change.
Mark, out.
